Food and drink businesses will sit down to discuss the biggest challenges facing their industry today – Brexit, obesity and the new industrial strategy – at the Food and Drink Federation (FDF)’s forthcoming Convention.
The event will take place on 11th May at the British Library in London and will hear from business secretary Greg Clark MP and shadow international trade secretary Barry Gardiner MP. Nicola Blackwood MP, minister for public health, will set out what the childhood obesity strategy means for the industry.
Ian Wright CBE, director general of the FDF, said: “The results of the next two years’ worth of negotiations will have long term, lasting implications for this nation – its people, businesses and economy. Food is at the heart of our national security. FDF, working hand in glove with food chain partners, will help Government to create the best possible industrial strategy to help us navigate through uncertainty.
“The FDF Convention is an important platform for the industry to debate these challenges and share creative methods of addressing them.”
