The final line-up for the third McCain Simply One Pot Meal Competition has been chosen, with five cooks ready to compete in a live cook-off.
The finalists are: Fred Chemin from Hertfordshire Catering Limited (Berkhamstead), Karen Clarke from Cambridgeshire Catering Services, Rose Khan from London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Services, Mary Lillis from Devon Norse and Donna Amiteye from Norse Commercial Services.
Having impressed the judges with their recipes, they will gather on 25th May at Eckington Manor to prepare and cook their dish, a nutritionally balanced one pot meal containing at least one product from the McCain Simply range.
Each finalist will receive a complimentary dinner and overnight’s stay at the luxury Eckington Manner hotel along with their line manager and/or head of service and have their recipe published on the McCain Foodservice website. The winner will receive an all-expenses paid culinary trip for two to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage HQ.

The judges will be Anne Bull, former LACA Chair and former head of catering and schools facilities services for Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council;McCain assistant development chef, Gill Locker; and Judy Gardner, founder of the Eckington Manor Cookery School.
