Powered by School Meal Marathons to raise money for British Heart Foundation

Karen Robinson from LACA National School Meals Week (NSMW) will run five marathons in five days during this year’s campaign and as part of her efforts will raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Powered by School Meals will see Robinson run a marathon in each of LACA’s regions and she will get the energy for her race through healthy and nutritious school meals. While the challenge was created to raise awareness of NSMW, Robinson’s fundraising efforts will also support LACA chair Tim Blowers’ chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation.

Members of the public can sponsor Robinson by visiting her JustGiving page.

Blowers said: “We are all excited about what is one of the most ambitious and high profile projects LACA NSMW has undertaken and I think the marathons will provide a fantastic platform for positive press messages regarding the value of a nutritious school meal at lunchtime. I am also really pleased that the Marathons will help raise awareness, and no doubt funds, for my chosen charity.”

This year’s NSMW runs from 13th-17th November. To get involved, visit nsmw.org.uk.
