Devon Norse are raising the profile of National School Meals Week (NSMW) by running various campaigns throughout the week.
NSMW, sponsored by Kraft Heinz Foodservice, runs until Friday 17th November and will see thousands of schools across the country celebrate the tasty, healthy and nutritious food served in their dining halls every day.
Devon Norse, which operates in five counties in the South West, kicked things off on Friday by welcoming Ben Bradshaw MP to Ladysmith’s Junior School in Exeter for fish and chips.
Yesterday (13th November), the caterer ran an anti-bullying campaign at Fremington Community Primary School in Barnstaple. On the menu were ‘Smiley Sausages, Happy Honey Parsnip Crumble, Buddy’s Baguette with Tuna, Special Spuddies, Besties Beans, Mates are Great Mash, Kindness Crumble with Cuddly Custard’ and children made blue friendship bangles, wrote a note for the Tree of Kindness, and were involved in talks about how to treat others with respect.
