Brakes has opened a new Innovation Centre and training kitchen at its depot in Reading.
The 1,000m2 facility provides a space for Brakes to develop its products with its clients, as well as offer a space for clients to train their teams, learn from Brakes’ 13 chefs or even host their own competitions. The facility is a collection of spaces where people can meet, taste and innovate and at its heart is a food market where visitors can explore highlighted products from the Brakes range.
The training kitchen has six fully-equipped cooking stations with full audio-visual support.
“This new facility has been designed very much with our customers in mind and our team of chefs has been involved at every stage to ensure this facility works for us and them,” explains Brakes’ food marketing manager, Becky Hover. “The innovation centre is a fantastic space where we can work together to help train, develop and support caterers and their food business through a more tailor-made and relevant approach. We are sure it will have a bright future.”
