William Watkins, managing director of Radnor Hills Mineral Water Company Ltd has won the Enterprise Award at the St David Awards.
The St David Awards are an annual government awards scheme which recognises exceptional achievements by Welsh citizens within Wales, the UK and globally. They are the hightest accolades that the Welsh government confers on its civilians.
Watkins was one of 25 people shortlisted for the 2018 awards across nine categories. He picked up the prize at the Senedd in Cardiff on 22nd March.
“I am delighted to accept the St David Award for enterprise, and very proud! It recognises all the hard work over many years of all the employees at Radnor Hills,” said Watkins.
William’s company Radnor Hills has been producing soft drinks from their family farm for over 25 years and has become a £40m business employing 180 people from the local area and in many cases more than one generation of a family working together.
