Educaterers launches centre for school meals excellence

Warwickshire-based Educaterers has created a new Centre of Excellence at Boughton Leigh Junior School in Rugby.

The Centre will showcase the best of what the caterer does, develop and train new and existing employees, and test new innovation in service and menu development.

It comes as the company won the contract to provide school meals at the new St. Gabriel’s C of E Academy in Houlton, which opened in September to provide school places for the new community currently under construction in Houlton.

Educaterers has just celebrated its first year as a standalone business following its move away from being run as a local authority service to become the county’s first local authority traded company.

Terry Tredget, managing director of Educaterers, said: “In our first year of trading, we have been able to deliver a healthy level of business and impress new customers to win even more contracts like this one.”
