Muddy Puddles and Forest School Association announce partnership

Children’s outerwear brand, Muddy Puddles, has announced it has partnered with the Forest School Association (FSA).

The FSA is the professional body and UK wide voice for Forest School, promoting best practice, cohesion and quality Forest School for all. The Forest School offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees. It is a specialised learning approach that sits within, and complements, the wider context of outdoor and woodland education.

Muddy Puddles and the FSA are committed to promoting the importance of play-based learning in the natural environment for pre-school, early years and beyond, with the ethos that there is no such thing as poor weather, just the wrong kit. Both parties are passionate and dedicated in promoting this message, alongside their mission to encourage families to adopt a healthy outdoor lifestyle.

With roots in the Scandinavian approach to education, Forest School has seen a massive growth in the UK over the past five years, with an increasing number of schools and parents embracing the Forest School way of education, and children leaving home with a pair of wellies and waterproofs has become the new normal.

As part of the exclusive partnership, FSA members will benefit from an additional discount on purchases made with Muddy Puddles.

“The Forest School Association is greatly respected with a strong position in the UK,” says Natasha Ascott, chief mudder at Muddy Puddles. “We are thrilled and honoured to have been selected as a preferred partner, further establishing our position in the children’s outerwear market with an organisation that shares our brand values and ethos on ensuring children learn through outdoor play.”

“Enjoying the freedom of the outdoors relies heavily on great quality, practical clothing that keeps children warm and dry while roaming free,” says Gareth Davies, CEO at Forest School Association. “We are excited to be partnering with Muddy Puddles, offering this tried, tested and much- loved brand to all FSA members.”
